Man found dead in crashed car by passing motorist

A MAN in his 30s has been found dead in crashed car.

Gardaí are investigating the fatal road traffic collision at Wells, Gorey, Co. Wexford.

The car was discovered by a passing motorist at about 11.40pm last night.

The man was removed to Wexford General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

It is understood that the driver and sole occupant was a Garda stationed in Wicklow.

He was off duty at the time of the crash. 

The Garda has been named locally as David Bolger, originally from Gorey.

Gardai say the scene is preserved and a forensic examination is expected to take place later today.
