Man fights for life after 'driving himself to hospital' following stabbing

A young man is fighting for his life in Dublin this morning after suffering stab wounds to the chest.
It is understood the 26-year-old, who is from the Coolock area, drove himself to Beaumont Hospital in north Dublin shortly after 7.00am.
He was rushed into surgery just half an hour after his arrival where he has remained since.
Gardai are investigating whether an incident that occurred earlier this morning in the Darndale area is connected.
Gardai in the Coolock area have been fearful of an old feud erupting after a number of incidents in the area recently.
