Man dumped on road after punishment shooting

A MAN was shot several times in an apparent punishment attack on a road in north Dublin.
He is believed to have been shot in both knees and both ankles.
The victim, a man in his 40s, was found at Kilshane Cross in Finglas shortly before 9pm.
Gardai were first at the scene after local residents called the emergency services.
A BMW car was seen speeding away from the scene.
It is believed the man may have been shot at the scene.
An ambulance rushed the victim to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown and gardai later found a van believed to belong to the victim on Cardiffsbridge Road in Finglas.
His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
