Man dies in hospital two days after he was discovered unconscious in front garden

A man in his 20s who was discovered unconscious in the front garden of a house in Co Kerry on Wednesday has died.

The man died last night, gardai have confirmed.

The young man was found unconscious in a front garden at Killeen Woods in Tralee at around 10.35pm on Wednesday.

Two men, one in his 20s and another in his 30s, were arrested close to the scene. Both men have been released without charge and files are being prepared for the DPP.

A post mortem will be carried out later today at the morgue at Tralee General Hospital.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who was in the vicinity of Kileen Woods at the time of the incident, to contact Tralee Garda Station on 066-7102300 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
