GARDAI are investigating a fatal stabbing which occurred in south Dublin earlier today.
Officers were called to the scene shortly after 6.30pm where they discovered a man in his 30s with serious injuries.
The victim was rushed to Tallaght hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A man in his 30s has been arrested and is currently detained at Tallaght Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
The scene of the stab attack remains sealed off.
The investigation is being led by gardai based at Tallaght Garda Station.
