Man critical after crash between motorbike and bus near depot

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after a crash between a motorbike and a bus on Constitution Hill in the north of Dublin City in the early hours of the morning.

The collision happened at around 1am near the Broadstone Dublin Bus depot

Gardai say the crash was between a motorcycle and a bus belonging to Dublin Bus.

The injured man, a Brazilian aged 25, was rushed to the Mater Hospital where he was in a critical condition.

The road was closed to traffic overnight while garda crash investigators assessed the scene.

Diversions were still in place this morning but the road has since reopened.

Gardaí at the Bridewell are appealing for witnesses following the crash.

The driver of the bus, a male in his late 40s, was uninjured. There were no passengers on the bus at the time of the collision.
