Man arrested over bouncer's murder

A man has been arrested over the murder 10 years ago of a nightclub doorman.

Brian Fitzgerald was shot several times and died near his home at Brookhaven Walk, Mill Road, Corbally, Limerick, on November 29 2002.

The arrested man, aged in his 30s, was detained in the city on Thursday morning.

He was taken in for questioning at Henry Street Garda station under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.

Two men have been convicted over the bouncer's murder.
