Man arrested in connection with seizure of €250k of drugs
A man was arrested in Limerick earlier today after gardai seized more than €250,000 of drugs in the city.
The 31-year-old is being held in Henry Street Garda Station tonight after the discovery of cannabis herb and resin worth more than €234,000 and cocaine with an estimated street value of €19,500.
A number of homes were searched in the Moyross area as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of drugs.
Gardai said all of the drugs were discovered in one house.
Local gardai were assisting a Divisional Drug Unit as part of the operation.
During a separate search in Kileely, Co Limerick, gardai recovered €10,500 in cash and a small quantity of cannabis resin.
