Man arrested following robbery of off-licence in Dublin last night

A man has been arrested following a robbery of an off-licence late last night.

A man, armed with what appeared to be a lump hammer entered the premises, on St James’ Road in Greenhills, West Dublin, at approximately 9.30pm last night.

He left the shop with a quantity of cash. Nobody was injured during the incident.

Gardai were called and mounted a follow up search which resulted in the arrest of a man in his 20s.

He is currently being detained at Sundrive Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
