Man arrested following collision with cyclist

Gardai have arrested a 32-year-old male motorist after a cyclist was seriously injured in a collision this afternoon.

The incident occurred on the N81 Tallaght Bypass at Jobstown, Dublin at approximately 2.15pm.

The pedal cyclist, a 36-year-old man, was brought to Tallaght Hospital where his condition is described as ‘serious’, gardai told independent.ie.

AA Roadwatch are reporting that the road has since reopened in both directions at the N82/Citywest Road junction.
