Man arrested after almost €800k of cocaine seized at Dublin Port

ALMOST €800,000 worth of cocaine was seized at Dublin Port yesterday.

As part of an intelligence led joint operation between Revenue’s Customs Service and the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau of An Garda Siochana, approximately 11.2 kilos of cocaine with an estimated value of €784,000 was seized.

The drugs were found following the search of a freight vehicle at Dublin Port. 

During the course of this joint operation one man, aged 37, was arrested and is currently detained at Store Street  Garda Station, under Section 2 of the Criminal  Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
