Man arrested after €44k of drugs seized in north Dublin

A MAN has been arrested after €44,000 of drugs were seized in north Dublin.

Gardai from Clontarf conducted a planned search of a house in Marino at approximately 12.30pm today.

During the course of the search cannabis plants with an estimated street value of  €44,000 were seized along with a small quantity of cannabis herb.

A man in his early 30s was arrested at the scene and detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Clontarf Garda Station.

The man was released without charge this evening and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
