Man and woman die following separate car accidents

Two motorists have been killed following car crashes in Galway and Wexford.
A 40-year-old man died and his front-seat passenger was seriously injured when their car hit trees and a wall just outside the village of Belclare, Tuam, Co Galway, at about 11.30pm last night.
The 46-year-old passenger was taken to University College Hospital Galway, where he remains.
A 35-year-old woman also died last night in Waterford Regional Hospital from injuries she received after her car collided with an articulated truck in Shambough, New Ross, Co Wexford, on Thursday evening.
Gardai have appealed for witnesses of either collision to come forward.
