Man (60s) has been stabbed to death in Dublin city centre

A man in his 60s has been stabbed to death in Dublin city centre.

The incident happened at around 2pm in the Robinson's Court area off Cork Street in the south of the city.

The victim was rushed to St James's Hospital but pronounced dead a short time later.

The man was named locally as Tony Rogers.

Investigations are continuing.

Gardai wish to appeal to witnesses who may have been in the Robinsons Court area this afternoon  to contact them at the incident room at Kevin St Garda Station on 01 666 9400, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
