Man (46) fighting for his life after shooting in Lucan

Garda have appealed for witnesses after a 50-year-old man died following a road crash in Co Wicklow
Gardai are investigating a shooting incident in Lucan this evening

A MAN has been injured following a shooting in Dublin.

The 49-year-old victim was shot in Abbeywood Court in Lucan shortly before 10.30pm.

Gardai have launched an investigation into the incident.

He was rushed in an ambulance to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown where is described as being in a serious condition.

The scene of the incident has been preserved for a technical examination.

Gardai have appealed for witnesses to any suspicious behaviour in the area before the shooting or after the shooting or anyone who may have seen a car exiting the area to contact the Gardai in Lucan on 01 6667300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
