A 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with the seizure of herbal cannabis worth around €200,000.
Gardai seized the drugs when they conducted a search operation today at an address in Cabra.
The 32-year-old man is currently detained at Finglas Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. He can be held for up to seven days.
Gardai say the investigation is ongoing.
The seizure was carried out as part of intelligence led operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Dublin area, Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, and the Divisional Drugs Unit in Finglas/Cabra.
These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks. Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities.
Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.
