Man (27) arrested after death of 29-year-old
Gardai are not treating as suspicious the death of a young man (29) in Dundalk Co Louth this morning.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, according to gardaí.
Gardai and emergency services responded to a call around 3.45am at a house in the Oaklawns area of the town.
The 29-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary examination was carried out this morning by Deputy State Pathologist, Dr Michael Curtis.
“A young male (27) was arrested in connection with the incident,” gardai told independent.ie.
It is understood the man died of natural causes.
“The body has been removed from the scene and has been taken to Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda, where a post mortem will take place,” the Gardai added.
Gardai are continuing to investigate an assault on the man earlier in the evening.
