Man (21) dies in Limerick crash at 4am

A man in his 20s has become the latest person to die on Irish roads this year after an overnight fatal road traffic collision in Co. Limerick.

At approximately 4am the 21-year-old man died when the car he was driving left the road and struck a tree on the N21 south of Adare village.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was closed to traffic and diversions put in place while garda forensic collision investigators worked at the scene.
