Man (19) killed after car goes into sea at Courtown Harbour

Gardai in Wexford are investigating the circumstances surrounding a car accident last night which left one man dead.





At around 10.30pm, a car collided with a wall before entering the water at Courtown Harbour. Two of the occupants of the car (both teenage males) managed to swim to the shore.



A third male, aged 19, was later taken from the water by coastguard and emergency services personnel. He was pronounced dead at the scene.



His body was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital for a post mortem examination.



The scene remains preserved pending a full technical examination.
