Mac Giolla leaves €44,000 in will

The former president of the Workers' Party, Tomas Mac Giolla, has left €44,698 in his will, which went to probate in Dublin last week. Mr Mac Giolla, retired public representative, lived at St Laurence Road, Chapelizod, Dublin, and died on February 4.

Other estates: James Joy, South Hill Avenue, Blackrock, Co Dublin, €3,238,621; Geraldine Maye, housewife, Rathcormac, Co Cork, €2,872,273; Madeline A Cannon, housewife, Donegal Road, Ballybofey, Co Donegal, €1,210,044; and Ronald S Nesbitt, a retired businessman and father of Arnotts owner Richard Law Nesbitt, of Heytesbury Lane, Ballsbridge, Dublin, left €418,924.

The value of wills includes property, including the family home, and should not be regarded as cash amounts
