Lucky festive shopper scoops €3.2m Lotto prize
ONE lucky Christmas shopper may have landed themselves a €3.2m 'surprise'.
Speculation was mounting yesterday as to whether the latest newly-minted Lotto millionaire may have been shopping for gifts at Blanchardstown Shopping Centre in Dublin when they bought a €4 quick-pick.
Word travelled fast yesterday with dozens of people flocking to Tom Stanley Newsagents in the centre to see if they held the lucky ticket to the €3,295,763 jackpot.
David Crossan, one of the owners of the newsagents, said there was plenty of buzz around the centre about the win.
"There are a lot of people out here in the centre and they are coming in to check their tickets," he said. Mr Crossan said the ticket was purchased in the store on Friday evening.
