Lucky escape for mother and baby as shots fired into caravan

A MOTHER and baby had a lucky escape when shots were fired at a caravan in which they were sitting on a couch.

The incident happened at the Cloverhill Road halting site in Dublin last night.

It is understood that up to six shots were fired, and one of the shots hit the couch on which the mother and baby were sitting but they escaped unhurt.

A young man who was also in the caravan was also unhurt in the incident.

Gardai are investigating incident.
