Lucky €500k lotto winner says trip to Euros 2016 could be on the cards

A lucky lotto winner has collected his EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000 today.

And while he is undecided about how to spend his winnings, he admitted that a trip to the European Soccer Championships this summer could be on the cards.

The EuroMillions winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, bought his €15 Quick Pick ticket in the Post Office, in Mountbagnal, Riverstown, Co. Louth last Friday March 25.

Today he said: “I’d be a regular player alright… I signed up online for the alerts and now I never forget to play – just as well.”

Another player won €25,000 on an All Cash Spectacular scratchcard in Castlerea, Roscommon.

Tonight’s Euromillions jackpot is an estimated €40 million.
