LUAS red line services have been halted this evening after overhanging cables from a building became tangled with a tram.
The cables became tangled in the tram's pantograph, the part of the tram which connects to the electrified line.
Although there were passengers on board, the tram was brought to a safe halt by the driver and there were no injuries.
The incident occurred on Dublin's Capal Street.
The tram is now being towed to the Luas depot at the Red Cow.
A Luas Spokesperson told Independent.ie that they expect a full service to resume shortly.
