A BUDDING young actor who starred in the now notorious cat-killing scene in the TV drama Love/Hate is facing charges for a drugs offence.
Leroy Harris, 19, was arrested after he was allegedly found in possession of cannabis worth €300 and some €850 in cash.
Gardai allegedly discovered the drugs and cash when he was stopped and searched on Lower Sheriff Street in Dublin city centre.
Mr Harris was arrested and taken to nearby Store Street garda station.
After being quizzed by detectives a formal charge was laid against him relating to the sale and supply of drugs.
He was then released and, according to garda sources, will appear in court in the next few weeks.
Mr Harris was just 13 when he took that role and was praised for his sensitive portrayal of a teenager bullied because of his stammer.
He is also due to make more appearances in forthcoming episodes of the smash hit Love /Hate.
His role in the shocking opening scene of the current series gained him instant notoriety.
His character, Glen, was shown filming his friend Wayne as he unleashed a volley of shots from an automatic weapon, killing a cat.
As the current series of Love/Hate progresses, Mr Harris's character is drawn deeper in to the gangland feuding.
