Limerick to host Games

THE host city for the 2014 Special Olympics Ireland Games will be Limerick.

The event was previously held in the Treaty City in 2010.

Responding to the announcement, Maria Kelly, Limerick Chamber CEO, said: "Everyone in Limerick and Clare can be proud to welcome the Special Olympics Ireland Games back to the region."

"It is a testament to the success of the 2010 Games, we have superb venues, great infrastructure and, most importantly, outstanding people willing to make the Games a huge success."
