THE mother of four-year-old Lily-Mae Morrison has spoken of her joy at having her daughter home after undergoing chemotherapy, writes Mark O'Regan.
The four-year-old from Claregalway, Co Galway, has neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer.
She was to have stayed in Crumlin Children's Hospital for seven weeks but was let home two weeks early after an improvement in her condition.
Her mother, Judith Sibley, said: "It's amazing to have her home two weeks ahead of schedule. She had no complications during the procedure. The doctors were thrilled with her.
"Lily-Mae has no resistance to infection – dust could cause a serious problem – so the house has been deep-cleaned."
