Like father, like daughter on last canvass

Taoiseach Enda Kenny was joined by his daughter Aoibhinn on a final day canvass of commuters at Pearse Street Dart station in Dublin yesterday.

Sharing her father's interest in politics, Aoibhinn is involved in Fine Gael and is active in UCD Young Fine Gael.

The Taoiseach's daughter has just finished her first-year exams in UCD, where she is studying law and economics.

Over the past year, she has been at her father's side at a number of events, including the Fine Gael Ard Fheis and the Young Fine Gael national conference.

Aside from politics, she is also involved in the rowing club in Belfield and was narrowly beaten in the election to become the Irish language officer at UCD students' union.

The Taoiseach will be hoping to avoid a narrow defeat today.
