LEO Varadkar has become the latest government figure to make jives at the Reform Alliance.
The Transport Minister took to twitter to mock the group’s logo, likening it to that of Fianna Fail’s.
The Reform Alliance is due to stage a so-called ‘monster rally’ in the RDS on Sunday, which is expected to be attended by hundreds of people.
However, a number of government figures have talked down the prospects of the Reform Alliance becoming a real political force.
Leo Varadkar today became the latest figure to make jives at the group of TDs and senators, which includes former European Affairs minister Lucinda Creighton.
Varadkar tweeted: "Reform Conference logo is backwards FF logo. Telling?”
Mr Varadkar and Ms Creighton are long-time friends and have known each other since being in Young Fine Gael in Trinity College.
The pair were both elected as councillors in 2004, as TDs in 2007, and as ministers in 2011.
Members of the Reform Alliance have been quick to reject suggestions that they are planning to form a political party.
However, the group has registered as a ‘third party’ with the Standards in Public Office Commission (SIPO) which will make it easier to raise funds.
