Hi °C | Lo °C Gardai believe injuries on the body of a man in his 40s found dead in a Kilkenny apartment indicate he was killed.
It was first thought Mr Anthony Barrett, originally from Castlecomer, who had spent the previous evening drinking in Kilkenny town centre, had died of natural causes. His body was found in an apartment on Thursday.
It is understood there were marks on the upper body and a post-mortem was held.
Gardai would like people who saw Mr Barrett on Wednesday evening when he was in the town centre and possibly later to contact them.
