TAOISEACH Enda Kenny has ruled out a re-opening of the Moriarty Tribunal to investigate Michael Lowry.

Fianna Fáil leader Micheal Martin wants the Tribunal to sit for three months to investigate the latest allegations about the Independent TD.

Speaking in New York, Mr Kenny dismissed suggestions of the long-running inquiry starting up again.

The Moriarty Tribunal sat for 14 years and reported fully and finally. If Deputy Martin or anybody else has an issue out there of which they have evidence, they have a duty and a responsibility to bring it to the notice of the authorities and they should do so forthwith," he said.
