Kenny backs 'Prime Time' posts

PAT Kenny last night backed two new RTE appointments to 'Prime Time' from the 'Frontline' programme.

The Irish Independent has learnt that the merging of Mr Kenny's 'Frontline' debate programme under the 'Prime Time' banner will finally go ahead on February 4, three nights a week. RTE yesterday appointed staff members Michael Hughes and Aoife Stokes as new deputy editors.

Ms Stokes previously worked with Mr Kenny, first as a researcher on 'The Late Late Show' and then as an assistant producer on 'Frontline'.

Mr Hughes is the former executive producer of 'Frontline'.
