MEMBERS of Ireland's Ivory Coast community gathered yesterday to protest against what they see as French interference in the country's presidential elections.
The protesters stood with banners and placards outside European Union House on Dawson Street, Dublin -- home to The European Commission Representation in Ireland.
The West African country has been embroiled in controversy since before Christmas when former president Laurent Gbagbo refused to step aside after losing the election in November. It was meant to reunite the country after a civil war in 2002 split it in two.
