Version 1, an IT consulting and service-provider company, will create the hi-tech jobs by 2013 across its offices in Cork and Belfast and its Dublin HQ.

The jobs will include opportunities for senior technology consultants as well as a number of graduate roles, with 45 positions to be filled in the next three months.

Version 1, which was founded in 1996 and employs 265 staff, said the new recruitment drive was to meet the demands of new business and has forecast growth of more than 30pc this year.

"As a 100pc Irish-owned and managed company, we are delighted to be beating the recession and creating jobs," said human resources director Jarlath Dooley.
