Irish worker (27) dies of heart attack in Australia
A YOUNG Irishman has died of a suspected massive heart attack in Australia, just five weeks after returning there from Ireland.
Richard Keith (pictured) from Co Cavan collapsed in Perth, Western Australia, and was rushed to hospital. Medics battled to save him but he passed away.
The young man from Cornafean was at home with friends on Sunday afternoon when the tragedy occurred.
It is understood a post-mortem examination will take place to determine the exact cause of death.
The 27-year-old had spent Christmas at home and had left on New Year's Eve to return to his job on the western coast of Australia.
The GAA enthusiast has been remembered as a friendly and fun-loving person who made a strong impression on everyone he met.
"The whole area is absolutely dumbfounded with the news coming back," a local man in Cornafean said last night.
