IRISH scientists have made a significant discovery to help combat Huntington's disease.
The hereditary condition causes uncontrolled movements and severe mental deterioration.
However, researchers at NUI Galway have identified 'HDAC enzymes' and their relationship to the disease.
Blocking these enzymes with experimental drugs will greatly reduce the risk of its further mutation or progression in patients.
