Who needs Kim Kardashian and the cast of TOWIE when Ireland's most photogenic farmers are joining the selfie trend?

The Irish Farmers Journal organised a 'Selfie on the Farm' competition in order to win a Christmas hamper.

And the results have set the Internet alight.

Organisers whittled the entries down to these top ten and the winner has yet to be announced, but the competition is clearly stiff.

Having been named the 'word of 2013', everyone from President Obama to Kim Kardashian to Pope Francis has taken one and the rise of the selfie is set to continue soaring.
