Ireland has secured the staging of snooker's Players Tour Championship Grand Finals in 2013, despite stiff competition from a number of countries including Thailand and Qatar.
More than 40 million people will tune in to see the world's top stars compete in Galway for the €125,000 prize.
The finals, which are snooker's version of the Champions League, will return to the Bailey Allen Hall at NUI Galway, from March 12-17.
"The Bailey Allen Hall proved an excellent venue last year and there was a superb atmosphere in the arena," said World Snooker chairman Barry Hearn.
