THE chief executive of state owned AIB, David Duffy, has put his luxury west Cork hideaway on the market.

Agents are remaining tight lipped about the asking price, but the house on nine acres could fetch €4m to €5m.

The eight bedroom property features guest houses, tennis courts and a private pier.

It is located between Skibereen and Baltimore harbour, in an area popular with movie stars including Jeremy Irons and globe trotting executives.

The house was originally built as a Church of Ireland rector’s house.

Dublin based Mr Duffy has owned the period mansion since 2003, when he was based abroad.

He now works full time in Dublin.
