NONE of the children who underwent investigation with a contaminated instrument at Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin, Co Dublin, have been infected.
A spokeswoman for the hospital said that following recent tests, all families affected have been informed of the outcome.
In July, it emerged that seven children were left at risk of infection because of a contaminated instrument.
The children underwent bowel examinations with a colonoscope contaminated with the ESBL bug which can potentially lead to blood or kidney infections.
The children were offered tests to determine if the ESBL bug, which is resistant to common antibiotics, was present in their bowels.
