IT'S the Indian 'Christmas' -- the most popular festival of the year, celebrating the renewal of hope and the victory of light over darkness.
And we can now get taste of Diwali -- the festival of lights -- here in Ireland.
Unitas ISAC, a voluntary organisation set up by the Indian community in Ireland, has organised a Diwali celebration in Dublin with the support of Tesco Mobile.
It takes place at the Citywest Convention Centre next Saturday from 12pm onwards. Highlights include retro-themed performances to celebrate the golden era of Indian cinema, live music and authentic Indian cuisine.
The event also includes a spiritual and holistic fair, and a spectacular fireworks display.
