SINGING star Mary Byrne had to pull out of the Dublin Simon 24-hour 'carol-athon' on Grafton Street last night on the advice of her doctor.
The 'X-Factor' star was diagnosed with a mild form of pneumonia earlier this week. The Ballyfermot woman fell sick last weekend and was advised by her doctor to rest .
"She just thought she had a bad cold. But on Monday it wasn't shifting at all so she called a doctor. It was then that she was told that she had a touch of pneumonia," her daughter Debbie revealed. "She's on the mend now."
The carol marathon hopes to raise thousands to help the homeless.
