Iarnrod Eireann apologise for morning delays experienced by commuters

Iarnrod Eireann have apologised for delays experienced by their customers this morning.

The Dart train schedule was out of position due to a points fault at Howth Junction.

The service informed commuters that Dublin Bus were accepting rail tickets for the duration of the problem.

Customers were asked to change trains at Howth Junction for Dublin City, Bray and Greystones.

“Apologies. Due to delays some Darts are out of position, meaning lower capacity on some Dart services than planned,” Irish Rail tweeted from its official account.

Delays were reported to be easing to five to ten minutes per journey before 9am.
