Married couple Kim and Tommy Fitzgerald say that Valentine's Day will always hold a special place in their hearts - as it is the day they got engaged.

After weeks of thinking he was finally going to do it, Kim Gregan-Fitzgerald said she was "hysterically happy" when Tommy proposed to her over a romantic meal at their favourite restaurant on February 14, 2011.

Tommy had visited her father earlier that day to ask for his daughter's hand in marriage.

Her dad jokingly replied: "You can have her two hands."

The Wexford residents married in 2013 and have two young sons, Ethan and Reuben.
