BROADCASTER George Hook has said he was unaware in advance about the row that led Newstalk’s Off The Ball team to quit the station.
The five presenters of the popular sports programme had wanted to take an hour of Hook’s airtime – but their request was refused by management.
Today Hook said he was not asked about the proposal that would have seen The Right Hook end at 6pm.
“I was not consulted about OTB; did not know about it and found out at the same time as the rest of the staff,” he wrote on Twitter.
