Hunt on for sexiest man in the west

Brian McDonald

It is the revenge of the fairer sex.

After decades of putting up with competitions like the Rose of Tralee, Mary from Dungloe and the Queen of the Plough, women are about to turn the tables and indulge in the latest spectator sport -- the hunt for the sexiest man in the west.

Men's fashion house Remus Uomo and north-west and west regional radio station i102-104FM are behind the contest.

Galway hurling star Joe Canning, Daithi O Se of TG4 and Connacht rugby captain John Muldoon are expected to be among the frontrunners.

Nominations are being sought by members of the public at i102104.ie/sexiestman. The competition is open to anyone aged between 18 and 40 and an all-expenses trip to the Italian Grand Prix awaits the winner.
