Hundreds paid their respects to the mother and daughter who drowned after a freak road accident on their way to do their Christmas shopping.
Huge crowds gathered to extend their sympathies to the heartbroken Clancy and Ahern families following the tragic deaths of Geraldine (58) and Louise (22) Clancy outside Kilworth, Co Cork, on Tuesday.
The mother and daughter, on their way to do Christmas shopping in Fermoy, drowned after their car was involved in a collision with another vehicle and veered through a ditch into a flooded field on the Kilworth to Ballyduff road.
The removal for the women took place in Ronayne's funeral home in Fermoy yesterday evening.
They will be buried together following Requiem Mass in St Martin's Church in Kilworth tomorrow.
