Renowned Capuchin Brother Kevin Crowley was honoured at the fourth annual AIB Private Banking Irish Law Awards last night.

He picked up the Bar Council's Human Rights Award on the night.

The awards took place in Dublin's Doubletree by Hilton and included some of Ireland's most prominent legal professionals, law firms, legal practitioners and in-house legal teams.

Eversheds, one of the country's biggest law firms, was honoured with the Irish International Law Firm of the Year Award.

Meanwhile, Lawyer of the Year was awarded to David Langwallner, while the Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded to Barry St John Galvin, in recognition of his contribution to the legal profession in Ireland following a 30-year career as state solicitor for Cork city.
