A huge crowd is expected to attend the removal in Killarney this evening of Julie Healy-Rae, the former wife of the late TD Jackie Healy-Rae.
Mrs Healy-Rae passed away on Sunday night following a short illness, just nine months after her husband's death.
She was mother of Independent TD for South Kerry Michael Healy-Rae and Kerry Councillor Danny Healy-Rae.
Mrs Healy-Rae was born in Delaware but was brought up by her adoptive parents in New York.
She and Jackie Healy-Rae had six children together - and 17 grandchildren.
Although they separated in 1977, they remained friends. Mrs Healy-Rae was one of the chief mourners at her husband's funeral in December, alongside his partner Kathleen.
She was waked at her home in Scrahan Mews, Killarney, last night and will be removed to St Mary's Cathedral tonight and laid to rest in Aghadoe Cemetery, following Requiem Mass at 10.30am tomorrow.
