How to Net your cheaper deal

Published 22/04/2014 | 02:30

GLOHealth'S cheapest new plan is called Net One, and provides care in the public hospital network.

It will cost €514 a year for adults when it is launched from May 12, but will be half-price for a student at €257 and will cost €200 for a child.

There are other options available which get progressively more expensive depending on what a customer wants: Net More – a public and selected private hospital network with a €100, €300 or €500 excess per private hospital claim.

Net Most – a comprehensive public and private hospital network with a €100, €300 or €500 excess per private hospital claim.

Once a consumer has chosen a network, they can then purchase additional add-ons to tailor the plan. For example, a customer can tailor the Net One plan by purchasing a private room "add-on" for an additional premium of €80.

And a personalised package can be added to Net One for €55. These packages include the likes of sports cover, maternity cover, or a dental and optical package.
